Entity Authority

Entity Authority measures whether agents can resolve this service to a real-world entity they can cross-reference and verify.

What it measures

Scoring Entity Authority against Dimension 5 of the agent-readiness-rubric; generating FIX artifacts from fix-templates/; flagging any ESCALATE items.

This is the dimension where the majority of the work is action-in-the-world. One text artifact type is generated (sameAs additions). Everything else escalates—NAP edits on external platforms, Google Business Profile claims, Reddit participation, and Wikidata/Wikipedia creation cannot be accomplished by producing a text file.

How it scores

Score Descriptor
0–4 Brand is not a resolvable entity. Inconsistent name, address, or contact info across the web. No external validation. Agents cannot attribute information to this source with confidence.
5–9 Some external mentions exist but no authoritative sources. Wikipedia absent. Wikidata absent. sameAs links missing from schema.
10–14 Consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) or equivalent. Listed in 2–3 relevant directories. Some press or editorial coverage. Agents can find corroborating sources.
15–19 Named entity resolvable across multiple authoritative sources. Wikipedia or Wikidata presence. Strong sameAs links in schema. Agents cite this source with moderate confidence.
20 Full entity authority. Agents can resolve, verify, and cross-reference the brand across Wikipedia, Wikidata, authoritative directories, and press. Citation confidence is high.

What it generates on FIX

  • sameAs additions to existing Organization or LocalBusiness JSON-LD — generated inline as an updated sameAs array. Only URLs that are confirmed present on or linked from the page are included. This fix is applied into the schema block already on the page—never generate a duplicate root schema object.

What escalates

All of the following require action in the world:

  • Google Business Profile claim — account action at business.google.com; cannot be produced as a text artifact.
  • NAP (Name, Address, Phone) fixes on external platforms — edits on Yelp, TripAdvisor, Apple Maps, and industry directories require account access to each platform.
  • Reddit participation — authentic community engagement requires domain expertise and genuine participation; cannot be delegated to a content file. Reddit accounts for 21–40% of AI Overview and ChatGPT citations in many categories.
  • Digital PR and editorial coverage — building toward the 250-source authority threshold requires outreach and placement; no text artifact produces it.
  • Wikidata entry creation — requires meeting notability criteria and external submission.
  • Wikipedia article creation — requires meeting Wikipedia's notability standards and is subject to editorial review; cannot be produced as a deployable artifact.
